Getting your little ones involved in soccer at a young age is a fantastic way to kick-start their love for the game! Gunston Soccer offers the perfect family-friendly program designed just for them.


In this program, kids will enjoy fun, soccer-themed games and activities that help develop their motor skills and introduce them to the basics of the sport. Parents are encouraged to jump in on the fun too—because the best games are the ones you can take home and play together!


Led by two experienced and enthusiastic youth soccer trainers, this program not only builds soccer skills but also fosters essential life lessons like fitness, teamwork, and respect for others—all in a supportive and playful environment.

What to Bring: water, cleats, shin guards, and a soccer ball (size 3), uniform (provided by the program)

MINI SOCCER FAQS

  • What time are the practices?

    Practices take place on Saturdays at Grist Mill Park! The fun kicks off at 8:00 AM, with sessions running every hour until all our little soccer stars have had their turn on the field.


    All registered Mini Soccer players will receive their one-hour time slot notification 7 to 10 days before our first session—so stay tuned! ⚽🎉

  • How long are the sessions?

    45 minutes to 1 hour

  • Can I attend a different session if I have a scheduling conflict?

    No. Unfortunately these programs reach full capacity quickly. In or to maintain an appropriate coach/player ratio we do not allow players to attend different sessions than the one they are assigned.


    Coaches will have rosters on-hand, and will take attendance at every session.

  • Do I get a uniform?

    Yes! Every Mini Soccer player gets a uniform and a special participation medal to celebrate their season. Uniforms will be handed out at your first practice.

  • What equipment is needed?

    Cleats or flat-bottom shoes/sneakers are recommended. Shin guards are encouraged but not required. Please bring a size 3 soccer ball with you.

  • What do I bring to each session?

    Bring water, a big smile, and a tasty post-practice snack!

  • What ages is this program for?

    This program is designed for our youngest soccer stars, ages 2-4!

  • What will they learn?

    Kids will develop motor skills, coordination, and basic soccer techniques while learning teamwork, listening skills, and socialization.

  • What happens if it rains?

    We will aim to play rain or shine! We will update families via email or the Playmetrics app of any changes
