2009 VYSA Workshop
The VYSA Workshop and Awards Luncheon is set for January 23 and 24, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia. It’s a fun filled day with demonstrations and lectures on all aspects of soccer, from referees to coaching and administration. It is for players, parents and volunteers as well as those working in soccer. We give away prizes and exhibitors are there to share their products specific to soccer. Register before January 16 and save money.
Fitness Training Available
Our club has the opportunity to provide our players with quality fitness training to supplement the excellent soccer training they have been receiving. The trainers have been working with some of our teams for more than two years and have agreed to expand their availability to the rest of our teams. They have also agreed to provide our club teams a discount on the training fees and will be flexible in their scheduling to accommodate your team's practice schedule. The trainers will work with the coaching staff to develop a program to increase agility, strength, explosiveness, core stability, flexibility, nutrition and teamwork. They also have separate programs for adults and are willing to incorporate them into the schedule. Adult programs range from similar fitness training to adventure sports training on orienteering, mountain biking, rock climbing, rappelling, self-defense and kayaking. Referees Needed
Referees needed for recreational and travel games. Anyone can be a referee, even if you have never played the game. There are different grades for referees and you must take a course and pass a test to be certified. Each year you will have to re-certify. You must be at least 12 years old before you can earn your badge. Visit http://www.vadcsoccerref.com/ for more information on taking a course.

TAP FC is a partner of Gunston Soccer Club. TAP FC caters to the elite players throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area, having won 12 Virginia State Cup Championships since 2000.
