Gunston Soccer Club hires Chris Hudler as its new Academy Director and Director of Grassroots Player Development

Chris comes to Gunston after having spent 7 years at DC SCORES, most recently as their Senior Manager of Elementary School Soccer. Under his leadership, DC SCORES has grown to serve over 3,000 youth annually at over 60 schools and recreation centers throughout Washington D.C. Chris also created the Junior SCORES (U7/U8) program and curriculum which grew from serving 80 youth to 600 youth in the span of 3 years and is now a model for America SCORES affiliate sites across the country. Prior to working at DC Scores, Chris spent 5 years as a valuable member of the DC United Academy staff.

A few of Chris’ licenses and education experiences include a US Soccer Federation National D License, Director of Coaching Diploma from United Soccer Coaches, National Urban Soccer Diploma and he is a member of the Positive Coaching Alliance. Chris is also a National Training Facilitator for the U.S. Soccer Foundation, where he leads field training and classroom sessions for coaches from across the country.

As Academy Director and Director of Grassroots Player Development, Chris will be responsible for leading our Academy Program (U7/U8), developing a recreation curriculum, and creating new programs. Chris will also support growth of all aspects of Gunston’s soccer programs in order for us to better serve all of our Gunston families. Gunston is dedicated to growing the game at the Grassroots level, and Chris will be a big part of helping us do that.
