REC FAQs
What happens after I register?
Stay Tuned! After registering your child, he or she will be placed on a team by our staff.
Approximately 7 to 10 days before the season begins, your volunteer coach will reach out with information about practices and games.
Uniforms will be distributed by your head coach in time for your first game day.
How do I know what team my child is on?
Gunston Age Group Commissioners create teams once registration closes. You can expect to hear from your assigned coach approximately 7 to 10 days before your first game day.
Your volunteer coach will share team logistics for training and what else to expect for the season.
If you register late, you may not get placed on a team until closer to your team's first game day. We may not be able to accommodate your team placement request.
How do I get my uniform?
Your head coach will distribute uniforms in time for your first game day.
Where are the games?
Recreation games are played at Grist Mill Park, Mount Vernon High School, and Bryant High School.
Can my child play with their friends?
You may add a Teammate request to your registration form. While not guaranteed in every instance, Gunston makes every effort to group kids together when requested. Please make note of this request in your registration via Playmetrics.
